The Legend of the Walker Family
08 May 2017
Grocer John Walker started blending different whiskies in Kilmarnock, Scotland in 1819 and added what he believed was the perfect drop to his shop inventory. He left his son, Alexander, with a very healthy whisky business and in 1867, Johnnie Walker's first commercial blend was launched. Alexander engaged ships' captains as his agents to carry his whisky wherever ships could sail and before long, his unique blend was available around the globe.
Johnnie Walker Red Label - highly versatile with universal appeal, it has a bold, characterful flavour that shines even when mixed.
Johnnie Walker Black Label - rich, complex and incredibly well-balanced, full of dark fruits, sweet vanilla and signature smokiness.
Johnnie Walker Double Black - swirls of peat smoke over rich raisins and fruits with a warming finish of oak and smokiness. Best enjoyed with water to unlock its complex layers of smouldering spice and smoke.
